October Glossybox Review: Dark Romance Edition ♥

Is it just me or has this year shot by? I'm sure I only received my September glossybox a couple days ago! Not going to lie I wasn't as impressed with this months box as I was with the last box, but I guess that's just how these things work. I did enjoy the chocolate though... The thing I love the most about boxes like this is the surprise you get every month when it arrives in the post. By spending the same amount every month, I can try out random products that I would never normally buy if I had to pay full price for a product I've not used before. The total price of the full size items in this box came too £103.45, not bad for only paying a tenner.

I think i'll start with my favourite of the products I recieved which is the Monu Illuminating Primer (even if it does smell a bit like sun cream). Its very thick & creamy for a primer but surprisingly it kept my makeup on all day. This product is said to contain vitamin E and is meant to protect your skin against UV damage which is always a plus. The only down side I found about this product is that it made my skin quite pink when I applied it, & I definately didn't look flawless like the information said. But then everyones skin is different and this may change after a couple of uses.
Full size is 50ml costing £24.95 which you can buy from www.monushop.co.uk

Next up is the MeMeMe Cherub's Blush which is a cheek & lip tint. For lips I think this item is really good. It stays on well even after a drink or food, its a nice colour and it applies easily for quick top ups. However I really don't like these items as blushers as I just cant seem to make them work against my skin. Whenever I put them on its either to thin or I have lines where the product hasn't blended right. This is definitely not a bad item though, I just need to learn how to use it ha.
Full size which is 12ml costs £5.50 which can be brought from www.mememecosmetics.co.uk

Third item for this box is the Katy Perry Killer Queen Fragrance. This perfume smells amazinggggg!! Its quite a strong sweet smell but I love it. Sort of reminds me of some cherry sweets I used to eat when I was younger. Yum.
Full size is 50ml which costs £29.50 which you can buy from most beauty/fragrance stores

Next product is the Premae Multi-Vit Smoothie Serum. I've never actually heard of this item before so is a nice surprise to find its actually lovely to use. Premae are an allergen-free brand which means the products they produce are kind to the skin. I adore this item as its designed for combination skin which is what I have, it helps to reduce redness and makes my face feel soft yet still matte and not shiny which is perfect for me. I will definitely be purchasing the full size bottle of this item yay!
Full size which is 50ml costs £22.50 from www.premaeskincare.com/shop

Lastly is the Gamila Secret Cleansing Bar which again I have never seen before this box. I haven't had time to try this item yet but from what I have read it looks pretty good. The company say this item is 100% natural while being gentle, hydrating and deep cleansing. Definitely looking forward to trying this item out soon!
Full size is £21 which you can buy from www.houseoffraser.co.uk

Oh I almost forgot. I also loved the little bar of dark chocolate they popped in the box. Yum yum yum. :)

If you've used any of these items or received anything different please leave me a comment as I would love to hear your opinions. Look out for my next blog guys. Byeeee.

Christmas Ideas 2013 ♥

Yes, yes, yes I know its only October but with the size of my family I start my Christmas shopping in August! I came online today to have a look through other Christmas ideas & I can barely find anything for this year yet.. am I the only person who likes to be prepared? So as I've spent the day chilling with my boyfriend at the hospital after his op, I thought I would have a little look online at some ideas for presents. Just to say if your reading this and have any good ideas of your own please comment below as you can never be too prepared at this time of year lol. Well here we go.. :)

Well to start with which lovely lady in your family doesn't love candles?!? Cause I cant think of any in mine! I've always been a bit of a yankee candle freak & never thought id find anything else I love as much. Well that was until I stumbled across a Jo Malone candle a couple weeks ago and since then im hooked. These candles smell absolutely amazing! Of all the ones iv now come across the blackberry bay home candle has got to be my favourite. These aren't the cheapest candles out there though I must admit, they come in at £39 each but they are so so worth it. Candles are just perfect for those times when your stuck with what to buy, just make sure you don't fall too inlove with them that you just cant give them away haha.

ELF are doing a 100pc eyeshadow pallet for only £15! Personally I think ELF are really good for what their items are priced as & I think this item is a fabulous present for a young girl or someone who's just getting into makeup. The colours are bright and fun while also being very usable for day and night life. I also love the fact ELF do items that are so cheap & basic aswell, as much as I love going into MAC or Dior and splurging out on 4 items costing £100, its nice to just pick up some cheapys to throw in your handbag or as stocking fillers for that person you always struggle to buy for at Christmas.

When it comes to buying presents I always prefer buying for women rather than men as I would normally buy a female something that I would like to receive back. Men on the other hand, wouldn't really appreciate opening a pink gift bag to find a few nail polishes and a perfume. (as much as we may wish they did lol) So after having a look around online I came across a few Gillette gift sets for men under £30. Genius! Most guys under the age of 50 shave on a regular basis so its something they would actually find useful. & on the plus side while we are out being generous buying gifts were also racking up those reward points, new make up for us yay!

What about for the fury friends in our lives? Pets pyjamas has got to be the best animal friendly website in the world! Toys, collars, beds, leads, clothes.. you name it they sell it. All the items are at really affordable prices too. Afterall, pets need Christmas presants too!!

& Finally SWEETS!! Who can resist a bag of the old classics wrapped up all pretty with a bow. Dipdaps, candy lipsticks, shrimps or white chocolate mice... Heaven... :)

Well thank you for reading, I want to put up 5 random things every week right up until Christmas so look out for my next blog, Speak to you soon guys!

My top 4 pink lipsticks ♥

Hey everyone :)

I had one of those dramas today when you just don't know which lipstick to use! Now its getting colder my go to lipsticks are getting darker and are the more autumn shades. But part of me still wishes it was summer and what better way to keep the summer going by still wearing my pink lips just a bit darker? So I had a little look through my lip products and thought I would share my top 4 pink lipsticks before they disappear for the winter. They are...

Top left & top swatch - YSL Rouge Volupté lipstick in 29 Rose Opera (£24.50)
Top right & second swatch - MAC lipstick in Angel (£15.00)
Bottom left & third swatch - Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in 55 Romance (£24.00)
Bottom right & last swatch - Dior Addict lipstick in 578 Diorkiss (£24.00)

My favourite types of lipsticks are the ones that are not only a gorgeous colour but make your lips look plump and shiney. The price also helps as well, I think these 4 are quite well priced for how amazing the colours and textures are. The only downer on these is the fact they are all so amazing I have to choose between them every day ha.

I would love to hear whether any of you also love any of these lipsticks or if not which ones you do love. Speak to you again soon!

Happy Thursday!! ♥

Hey guys!

My names Chelsea i'm a 20 year old girl from Somerset, England. I've wanted to start up a blog for so long but never really had the time before (not that I do now lol). I just really want to share my love for all things beauty related with you all & maybe even a bit of my day to day life :). My real passion is makeup especially high end things that my boyfriend tells me off for buying every week haha. I must admit YSL have quickly taken over my new favourite makeup brand there products are simply amazing & the packing well.. what girl wouldn't like gold?! I've spent a massive chunk of my life sat watching videos & reading blogs over the last few years, but never before did I have the confidence to make my own so thought now i'm a bit older & a little bit braver why not start my own blog & see how I go. I'm hoping to start making YouTube videos in the near future too so keep a look out. Speak to you soon. Thanks for reading!! :)
